After-School
PEAK After-School Childcare:
- Paid program
- Grades TK-5
- Offered Monday-Friday, after school until 6PM
- Sign up right before or at the beginning of the school year. Space is limited and sells out quickly.
- Students enrolled in the childcare program may also elect to participate in the enrichment classes below for an additional fee.

PEAK Enrichment Classes:
- Paid classes
- Choose the topic and day a la carte
- Different offerings each term. Some examples include chess, sewing, LEGO, baking, skateboarding, soccer, ceramics, tennis & more.
- Watch your student's backpack for a flyer or check the PEAK website for current class offerings and registration information.
- Your student does not have to be enrolled in PEAK childcare to take part in enrichment classes.
Beyond the Bell - Youth Services (YS)
- Free program, provided by LAUSD
- Grades 2-5 only
- Not a childcare program, students must be capable of independent supervision.
- Students sign-in and leave the program by their own volition.
The mission of Beyond the Bell is to ensure that all children and youth in LAUSD have access to high quality, safe, and supervised academic, enrichment, and recreation programs that inspire learning and achievement beyond the regular school day.
Students in Beyond the Bell (YS) at Colfax participate in organized games, enrichment activities, nutrition, physical fitness and homework time. It is not a childcare program. Parents must complete an application before students can attend this program. Please visit the office to fill out an application.
