Colfax is a Digital Citizenship Certified School!

The California Department of Education (CDE) in collaboration with Common Sense Education is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from October 14-19, 2019. Colfax Charter Elementary is committed to educating good digital citizens. As a school with one to one devices in grades 1-5 and a strong focus on technology education, we take digital citizenship very seriously! All of our teachers have received professional development to become Digital Citizenship Certified Educators. It is an important skill in this day and age
to be a positive digital citizen and our Colfax students are off to a great start!

Each day this week our classes will be discussing different aspects of being a good digital citizen. Parents can continue this conversation at home by discussing the K-5 Family Tips for Digital Footprint and Identity Online. We will also be sending home the Family Media Agreement (also available in Spanish). This document does not need to be returned to school, but rather is meant to spark a family conversation about what digital citizenship means in YOUR house!
